Author Topic: Assassins Creed Revelations Zombie mode(SPOILERS FROM ACB)  (Read 3030 times)

Hi I just Pre Ordered The New Assassin game Assassins Creed: Revelations. I was thinking about what the storyline might be like and my brother said "I think it would be cool to run on top of rooftops while killing zombies."

So what do you think? Would it be cool to play Assassins Creed zombie style? Heres what I think the story should be if they did have zombies:

Desmond wakes up in the Black Room and sees people running past him. He walks toward a group of people only to see a zombie jump up and attack them. Desmond runs away and looks for a pipe to climb up for a better view. Once Desmond climbs up  a nearby pipe he sees a guard falling to his death from a zombie that bit him. Desmond grabs the zombie and tosses him off the side of the roof. Desmond looks around only to see flames ontop of buildings and hears bloodcurdling screams from down below. Desmond turns around to a zombie biting on a corpse. Desmond goes  up to the zombie and kicks him off the corpse and runs over to the zombie. The zombie jumps up and swings at Desmond. Desmond falls down and faints.....

Now add your part.

The way an assassin kills things wouldn't fit well with zombies, I think.
I do like the story, though.
"Stealth Kills" wouldn't be an effective way to deal with a zombie. Maybe cutting its head off with a cutlass, but not ramming a hidden blade through its stomach.
Also, it'd suffer the same fate as Red Dead Redemption:
"Hey man, have you played Red Dead Redemption?"
"No man, but uh... didn't they make, like, a zombie version of that? I played that. Such a cool concept, killing zombies in a western."
People pay almost no mind to the original game and instead get hard-ons over the expansion that includes zombies.

Another thing, in order to escape the zombies one need only climb the nearest building, an easy feat for an assassin. The undead would shuffle around below you wondering how the forget they're supposed to feed on you, it'd be a "the floor is lava, touch it and die" sort of deal. Way too easy to avoid the ground as it is in Assassin's Creed games.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooo

How would the Assassins halt the zombie apocalypse anyway? Unless the Templars somehow used the Apple to create a horde of mindless walking dead, but that'd be hardly efficient compared to living, flesh-and-bone slaves.
It'd shatter any conflict between the Assassins and the Templars and create simply a standalone minigame. I don't like the idea.
How would the Templars react? Would they side with the Assassins to take down the source of the threat? I think not.

I've given my opinion on the idea from a combat, difficulty, and story standpoint. My work here is done.

I heard you like zombies so we put zombies in your zombies so you can be bitten while you be bitten, dawg.

I can't say zombies in this game series would ever be appealing.
The games play-style doesn't fit for random unpredictable zombie attacks. It's a sneaking-assassinating game, not survival.

Hey guys they should make a zombie DLC for Splinter Cell: Conviction.

I like how few people are telling why they don't want zombies in Assassin's Creed.

Because it's a stupid idea and won't work.
