in order to find x, you must do the opposite, or inverse, of the problem
which is subtraction
so 6 - 2 = 4
so 4 + 2 = 6

also, identity properties and commutative and associative are a pain in the ass
commutative is does not matter what order
associative is does not matter what group

for d, you cross multiply

so i'd be 2x+4x=6

then you combine like terms, so it'd be 6x=6

6/6= 1

done

D.   2x+4x=6

6x=6

6/6

1
