Just recently got back into onlive. My username is aceofbase17. For some weird reason, I lost 2 games I bought a long time ago. And recently bought that lord of the rings game: war in the north game. anyone wanna play multiplayer with me?

Isn't Onlive JUST like Steam?

no, actually. the way onlive works is that they have servers at a physical location that render the game at all highest settings, and you're essentially watching a stream of it running the game. it takes the mouse movement/button presses/etc from your computer, sends it to the server, and then the server replicates the same mouse movement/button press/etc. this means you can play crysis with a stuffty netbook from 2005. it's a great technology, but the main problem i have with it is that you can't turn off mouse acceleration in some games and that makes it unplayable for me

That's actually pretty neat. I wish I could do that with some of the games I've bought on Steam that don't run as well as I thought they would.

There are a lot of games on onlive. Like, a lot. in the play pack alone there is 100+, and that's not retail. There is everything from Fear 3 multiplayer, to homefront, to Assassin's creed: brotherhood

Actually, streaming the game means that if you have bad internet you can't see anything.
