If it's heavy, passionate and intense it's metal. Being -core doesn't make it not metal, it makes it a sub genre you close minded elitist piece of trash. Real metal heads don't need forgeters like you around making us look just as close minded and judgmental as prep douche bags. Metal's about passion, not fashion. I don't care if you want to make popreggaetechnorapcore power metal, as long as you keep the spirit of metal inside you I feel no need to ostracize.

Wow. No, the difference is it's origin. Metal is a derivative of Rock N' Roll and Blues rock. Core is punk influenced by metal.

I am a real metalhead, and I thought metal was about... music? >.>

Isn't it considered Hard Rock?

I'm pretty sure it's considered metal. Just my point of view. I may be wrong.

There's no such thing as a sub genre called "Core" there's deathcore and metalcore, both of which are metal based with hardcore influences.

It is just music, so why feel the need to scrutinize anyone for listening to sub genres that simply don't match your taste? After all, it's just music.

What about some Enter Shikari, Crowbar, or Suicidal Tendencies?

Dude, I met Rob & Chris of Enter Shikari, believe it or not! Crowbar is a good recommendation, but, I'm not sure about Suicidal Tendencies.

Core does match my tastes, but it ticks me off when people don't realize that it's not metal.
