Author Topic: A Metalfest Concert (updated & better band list)  (Read 1746 times)

I have an idea. After the Skillet concert I did, I'm thinking about doing a Metalfest concert to make up to the ppl who couldn't come to the Skillet concert I did.

What do you guys think about this? Let me know what you think about it. And btw, I probably won't do anything from the big 4 of thrash metal. Sorry

Last time I had a bunch of core bands that I really shouldn't have had.

I don;t really listen to metal...aside from Skillet, but I don't really consider them to be

And that's because all of you listen to dubstep and pop.

Gay.
first off, that was a blatantly giant generalization. Just because we don't like what YOU like doesn't mean we only listen to two genres of loving music.

second off, that, in no way, makes us homoloveual.

Underoath is post-hardcore.

EDIT: I guess after checking their Wiki page, they're officially metalcore. However, they hardly sound it.

Idk, the many metalcore bands have tons of different sounds. Compare As I Lay Dying and Attack Attack!. They are both under the same genre, yet they hardly sound like it.

True, it was a generalization, but, I notice that everyone on blockland seems to listen to something that's autotuned. Weather it be rap, dubstep, pop, techno.. Those 4 genres seem to be what a ton of people listen to on BL. I didn't say you have to like what I like, just like some stuff that actually has originality and talent.
well, actually, no.
Until you've gone around to every 30k+ person on BL and polled them on their music choices, you are in no position to start speculating the musical opinions of the collective blockland music.
Also, i can name plenty of people who like classical, folk, indie, alternative, classic rock, new age rock, and more to name a few. If you had half a brain you'd realize that auto-tuned rap and dubstep makes up a very small portion of our tastes on blockland.

Gay in this case = derogatory word.
no. that's stupid
rule of thumb- never use the word "gay" as a word for stupid, or you're in deep stuff.

And 2/3 of these bands are stuff.

Amon Amarth (melodic death metal)meh
King Diamond (heavy metal)meh
Skillet (alternative metal/rock/post-grunge) (again... Hehe)eh
Cannibal Corpse (death metal)oh god
Mercyful Fate (heavy metal)please no
The Devil Wears Prada (metalcore)i like that movie
Black Veil Brides (post-hardcore/glam metal)gouge out my eyes with a spork
As I Lay Dying (metalcore)title of band is self-explanatory
Ensiferum (folk metal)eeeehhhh
Holy Blood (folk/death metal)meh
Mortal Treason (deathcore/melodic death metal)meh
Stryper (glam metal):|
Settle the Sky (metalcore)hmmmm
Underoath (metalcore)what
Petra (hard rock)yeah, that ended on a bad note.

And that's because all of you listen to dubstep and pop.

Gay.

I like all genres of music. so stfu

Replace the list with this

The Contortionist
Meshuggah
Animals as Leaders
Periphery
In Flames
The Human Abstract
Mastodon
The Project Hate MCMXCIX

rule of thumb- never use the word "gay" as a word for stupid, or you're in deep stuff.

By who, the word police?

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."
