Author Topic: Are you able to import 3ds max animations?  (Read 752 times)

So i got AutoDesk 3ds Max 2011 32&64 bit and also Milkshape.
So im currently wondering if there is ANY way to export from 3ds Max to Milkshape but still with animation.
Since im used to 3ds Max..

Yes, there is.

I dont know how exporting works on 3DS Max, but I asume there is an option your not finding.

In Milkshape; Go File>Import>AutoDesk 3DS

I suggest exporting to DTS directly.

Altho it is for the 2010; I am pretty sure it will work.

It must be EXACTLY same 3ds max version.. And also the DW link from there is broken :P...

The animation information should be included in the file-type you export with automatically. Milkshape will do the rest for you. I also use Milkshape 3D and 3DS Max 2011. Although I don't know why you wouldn't just export straight to DTS with an exporter plugin.
