This is already do-able.
Place a teledoor in the ground, so you fall into it when you walk over. Instant telehole/plate.

Badspot specifically disables vertical velocity in teledoors because it'd cause you to get stuck. This would work specifically for the vertical.... Although you should never come out downward, but then how do you define if you come out the bottom or top?
