Author Topic: After Effects eye opening camera effect halp.  (Read 964 times)

So you know that shot in movies where it's supposed to be a POV of a person waking up, and you see the "eyelids" open and close as like black half-circles on the top and bottom of the screen. Yeah I need a tutorial or something for that for After Effects (If you can't find it for After Effects specifically, any other will do and I'll improvise). I've tried searching for it but I just don't know what to call it. KTHX.


Start with the video being covered in an all black layer (I suppose you know what that means) and create a widening ellipse deleting the black layer and make the process span a few frames.
