Author Topic: Apartment partner rant  (Read 783 times)

Sometimes it's hard to believe I catch myself calling him my friend, he's the most lazy SOB I have ever had the displeasure of sharing a room with. He's 20 years old and doesn't even bother to read to figure things out. He even finds the Minecraft menu confusing. Just recently He kept calling me out of my room to help him figure out how to set it to "creative" mode because he hates survival because it doesn't "give him everything". I mean really, it doesn't take much time to read the bold letters "game mode" on a damn button. He wusses out at anything that gives him the slightest difficulty (primarily video games) and always leaves our living room a mess leaving me to clean it. I'm also the one who is primarily funding the rent towards keeping this apartment and he always forgets to pay his part. He's rude, bossy, and whines like an oversized toddler for weeks on end if things don't go his way. When he knows he's gonna have to work around the room he "goes out to town" and doesn't come back until he's sure that I've already done everything for him. I want to kick him out and tell him to try his luck elsewhere but I don't want his police woman of a mother to come to his aid. He also does nothing but smokes all day if he's not doing his homework (which I'm surprised he can even do) and plays some game that's "easy" for him.

TL;DR my partner won't do his part

Just go ahead and kick the filthy casual out.

His mother is the devil in a police uniform. I fear that she will some how, figure out a way to make me miserable.

Oh stuff, she really is a cop? I thought it was a hyperbole of some sort.

If you actually kick him out legally, there is nothing she can do.
Set up a sign that says "room for rent" out front. Chances are he won't even read it, and you can get some roomies prepped.

What about the landlord or whoever?
If you usually pay the rent then I'm sure he would listen to you
Unless there is something I'm missing

sounds like a terrible room mate

I feel bad for you

find a way to get rid of him thats perfectly legal

Videocamera recording the worst stuff.
Kick him out
Mother comes after you
Show videos
win.

does he know you're 2 people? or is this person you're referring to your other personality?

I've approached the landlord just recently about this. The only reason he hasn't kicked this guys jelly filled ass out is because I've been covering for him. I'm now going to reconsider and risk getting assaulted by billions of calls from his mother. She knows My fuse is short with her son, and if she finds out he "moved" out, she's going to find out that I've stopped tolerating him.

Tell her to take him back in and raise a better son.
If you find a more qualifying roommate you should be obliged to boot his sorry ass out and get someone who you can actually get along with.

If that doesn't work, stop covering for him so people realize how unreliable he is.

Take all the trash he leaves around ,and throw it all over his room. Same for hi personal stuff. Also change his game to the hardest difficulty and make sure he cant figure out how to change it back.
