Need WH40k DOW The dark crusade online tips

So I've tried a round of Dark crusade online and failed quite epicly.

Do you have any strategic tips , race recommendation or something similiar so I can become better ?

If you kept playing you'd get better obviously. You can't play once then ask for a few pointers and suddenly be pro.

Make your stronger units faster and have them hang around behind the scenes. Send a group of weaklings to the enemy base but not close enough for the strategic position to be a problem. The enmy will think you are an idiot and send his medium force units to deal with them. at this point, slowly flee, knowing all the way that these units will not survive. When you are a significant distance away from reinforcements, send in your stronger ones to dispatch the pursuers.
