Minecraft - Mod Conflict Resolver?

I am having some problems in Minecraft, when I place a ladder, it crashes the game.  I am pretty sure it is based on a mod conflict, can anybody tell me what program/tool can resolve mod conflicts?

 I have a ton of other mods that would take too long to re install, so don't suggest that I delete the bin or force update.

It probably isn't if the game is starting properly, but you crash on ladder placement.

Well okay, the game runs fine until I place a ladder!
Any other ideas?  I tried that, but the game crashed on startup
