block cameras

this was something i thought of while playing the game. is it possible to have bricks that are cameras or that can become cameras to look in a direction so it would be like a security system and you could have like print bricks to go with them. like you create a camera then a screen and they work together or two or more cameras and one screen and the cameras would alternate. just so i can keep an eye on everything in my box of security >:D

I've wanted something like this for a while, something like Gmod's camera system so I can make movies by myself, not having to hire a crew.

The screen thing isn't possible but I used to have a mod on RTB for cameras, maybe I'll try porting it over with an added gui.

Tribes 2 had  this, so I don't imagine it's impossible to make, but probably very difficult.

Why is it not possible?
Couldn't we lets say, add a modified F8 cam, where once a button is pressed you switch to that cam, which will be static, and you could rotate your view using the mouse.
I don't know much about the possibilities of torque, but it doesn't sound that complicated.

The Modification of the F8 cam.. maybe you could like select a camera from a list and it would drop the camera at the brick that you set to be a camera if that makes any sense. So there not cameras all the time but only when you select one and it drops the camera at that brick.

I don't know about having a screen (pretty sure it can be done though since I saw it somewhere on GG forums) but what you could do is the F8 hack and add a filter thingy that makes it look like you are looking through a camera. you know, like green, scratchy look. Or black and white.

I want it to have as if I'm looking through the normal view, meaning not stretched or anything, and in color, but I could place it somewhere, switch to it, and walk around and film myself using that camera.
