Author Topic: Converting Movie Files  (Read 423 times)

So I've got this report due in my English class, and I've been using Movie Maker as a cheap solution to the lack of video editors on my computer. I own a movie, "The Road" and the files that it has are .VOB

Now I know close to none about video file formats, but when I attempt to import it into movie maker, it does not import correctly, with spotty footage that is not there when I play it on my t.v. or on windows media player. If anyone knows of a reputable file converter that can change the .vob to whatever I need, probably a .avi, please share.

WinFF.
Thanks.

I'm looking it over now, and not quite sure about it. Any more suggestions?

iWisoft Free Video Converter

Its 100% free, no catches, no trials, no bullstuff. I use it all the time. It supports just about every filetype you can imagine, and you can do batch jobs and change settings, or add overlays, etc.

It is the best thing ever. The website and the name of the product doesn't do it justice, I recommend it. I've used it for many video projects. The Taking Of Isar Tower for example, was filmed with Fraps to AVI, and then I used it to convert to MOV for editing and smaller file size.

(just opened it and checked, it supports 3 types of VOB)

idk, youtubedownloader&converter is pretty okay
but it might be bad too idk
