Author Topic: My mom is getting an iMac!  (Read 7317 times)

Mac VS PC war is so stupid. Big loving deal, use the computer you want. I'm a PC guy myself but I'm stuck on a mac and I have to say I'll miss a lot of features. There's a lot of this window seperation stuff (mouse4 brings every window into a grid, from where I can select a window and bring it to the front. very useful) that I love.

I've had my experience with both. (and using blockland on both). My personal choice is PC. I'm more of a gamer type person, so don't be surprised.

Stupid Minecraft kept on running out of memory on Mac, and blockland had more SQLite errors then ever.

Yeah mac isn't cut out for gaming. Say goodbye to solid blockland usage, OP.

fruityloops > all

as for the thread, there are a couple things to consider
design != performance
apple, as a company < several PC brands and manufacturers
apple's basically comprised of moneywhoring richards, and they use foxconn for all manufacturing, etc
apple, in design >= PC
depends on the brand for design. some may like the look of a custom-built, glowing computer more than apple's shininess. I can't deny apple's brilliant design, though

overall, apple's a pretty stuffty company, with overhyped and overpriced products.
too bad their mobile platform is genius :/

(M)Hi, I'm a Mac.
(PC)And I'm a PC.

(M)So, PC, whatcha up to?
(PC)Oh, nothing really. Just playing some video games.
(M)Really? Which ones?
(PC)You know...all of them...

Seems like the Mac is probably talking to itself.

That argument to going to get pretty redundant considering the console trend, I mean, less games are coming out on the PC, and even from developers who used to be PC dedicated (Bethesda, Crytek, etc.) are giving in more to consoles. Dawnguard DLC is coming out first for Xbox, Crytek downgraded Crysis 2 in order to get it to run on consoles, The Call of Duty series is progressively making it's way away from PC (which was a pretty long ways away anyways) and even Battlefield 3 is moving away from PC, despite PC having exclusive 64 player mode.

Bethesda, Crytek, etc
everything they make comes out on pc as well as maybe 1-3 consoles.

your point is lost
