Fallout new vegas help, retrieving items from BoS

I'm doing the main questline and I have to go to the Brotherhood of Steel bunker in hidden valley, where they take my items.

Spoilers, I guess
I'm going to blow the place up but I need my items back before i can do so. I can't lose them

Do I have to do all of their missions before I can get my stuff back? I desperately need them or I am going to die very quickly. Help is needed cause google wont help

All you have to do is chat with somebody before you get the stuff back. The game pretty much does it for you, so no worries. The chat also happens right after your stuff is taken.

The game instantly teleports you to where you need to go after your stuff is taken. It's harder to explain than if you just do it. Just don't worry about losing your stuff.

It teleported me to a room with a guy who then teleported me to the elder. They didnt give me my stuff back

Talk to the elder.
After you finish talking to him and you go back to where your stuff was taken, it's all in the small box to the right.
