Author Topic: SetRandomPrintNumber  (Read 692 times)

Hey guys, Hod here.

Lord Techno and Brotatoe have been trying to make a Dungeons and Dragons game.

You know how that game uses dice?

well, We need an addon that works like this.

onActivate > [named brick] > setrandomprintnumber > (one box for minimum number and one for maximum)

It would make the brick (if it's a print brick) set the print to a random number within the range of those numbers in the output parameters.

If someone could make this, Most of Blockland would be eternally grateful.

Thanks guys,

Hod

Thanks. Brotatoe and Techno are psyched about it.

You could just make a projectile-based randomizer that fires from a large brick on to many smaller bricks to randomly chose which number will be displayed.

Read it again and see how confusing it is.

I just want this to be a tad bit easier. This is fast, easy die rolling. Think of the kinds of games you could make!

It isn't confusing in any way if you've used events for longer than 10 minutes.

What extrude is saying is actually right and pretty easy to do.

This would still be useful. This is just a small innovation.

I know you can use that method, but This would be fun to mess around with.

This one is much more fun. You have to use bullets and cool stuff.

I went ahead and posted a save based on extrude's idea. You may find that it's extremely simpler to use this kind of method than what you suggested.

Sure, I'll make this in the morning.

Done. Submitted to RTB.
