Author Topic: Increased detailing in vehicles  (Read 696 times)

I was in a server the other day and remarked how the Pumas have brake lights.  I don't see why this same system can't be instilled in the normal, city vehicles like the fordor and fillipes cars.  Also, wouldn't simple headlights be simple?  Just use the standardized flashlight emitter on to points where the headlights are.

If no one does anything soon, then I'm gunna try stuff.

I don't think the headlight emitters is a good idea. What would work better is having a soft light flare.
But I don't think mounting lights to vehicles is possible.

If it is, Ive never seen it done and would love to be proven wrong.

^Possible.

Barna's police car thing had lights for it.

Was it the sedans or something?

But anyways, It takes a lot more work to do this stuff, but yeah its possible.

Yeah, that way I won't crash into everybody when I'm changing lanes.

EDIT: It would have blinkers too right? Not just brake lights?

you cannot mount lights to vehicles, those were just emitters, hence them not creating any actual light

No, It was an actual light.

Edit: Nevermind, I was wrong. Looked in the script and saw it was a particle. That sucks.

So can't someone take the sedan cop car, change the emitter to use the flashlight, and test to see if it works?

And with backup lights, not actual lights were used in the puma, it was like painting a brick with the glow fx, it appears to be lit up in the dark.

an emitter is not a light
that's not how it works
