Could be used for security purposes, or somehow be able to upload movies like prints.

The closest you can get is maybe an IFLFrame or multiple prints along with a sound. DrenDran has done it using a sequence of prints and audio synced together.

How did it turn out so good though? He couldn't have just taken a bunch of pictures manually and compiled them...

It's script-automated of course. Any animation is basically just a bunch of images in a sequence. Each image is a frame, and the frames advance at whatever the FPS is. This is the same concept, except with brick prints.

There IS a GUI element that plays .avi files, but as far as I know support for it is minimal and it doesn't work very well at all, and this wouldn't work here anyhow.
