Ok lemme try modifying Bisjac's to make it more specific

1) minifig parts and accessories sorted by part (heads, torsos, leg parts, arms, hands, weapons, tools, misc accessories)
2) technic with studs
2.5) technic with no studs
3) standard bricks by color
3.2) decal bricks by size and genre
3.5) nonstandard bricks (handles, clips, headlights, studs-not-on-top, etc) by type and color
4) ramps by color and general size
5) rounds by general size + color
6) standard flats/plates by size
6.2) decal plates by size and genre

Dunno if this is too specific though.

i was actually going to be really specific (not including color) when i first start organize, then if all the drawers get filled up, i will start mixing them

ex: start with 1x16s in their own drawer, then if all drawers are taken up and i still have bricks left, then make a drawer with 1x1s - 1x16s

It's a start.

someone might show me a better one here

store them like how you get bricks in blockland
                  Catagory - - - - - -
Types (size and such) - - - - - -
                      Bricks - - - - - -
All varations of a brick color wise go were the other ones of those bricks go.
For help in catagories look on lego digtal designer.

yeah, that was kind of the way i was going to do it

also, anyone know if there are any 8x8x8 lego bricks? like in blockland?

I only play with Technic stuff, pneumatics, motors, RC stuff...

I recommend Plano Utility boxes, maybe a Tackle Box for mobility.

Not that I've ever seen in my lego years, no.
