Author Topic: Create custom colors in-game  (Read 763 times)

Why? Because you can do it for your blockhead, and your environment, but not for your paintset.

You would still have premade paintsets, but on each paintset there would be a column of your custom paintset, that you could make in game.

This could work really well with this as well: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=204851.0, as you could create multiple colors and delete ones that you don't need, and then use the eyedropper tool to get the exact color again.

This deserves an automatic "Why, certainly"

But, I'm not sure the game can run the color without it being pre-set.

Unless it can't be done to bricks, I don't why it wouldn't work.

It can be done to the environment and your blockhead, and I think it would be a nice edition.

Oh hell yes.

But you already have a ground color slider thingy.

I know that, so thats why I want it for bricks as well.

Not happening.

Every colour has several datablocks associated with it to let it work, and one reason this is a problem is because creating datablocks mid-game typically is not an amazing thing to consider doing.

Maybe by "ingame" he means the menu....instead of that stupid color scale you have to make colors thats some times hard to get the right color...you could make a easier version of it to where you pull a slide and it goes from  red,to yellow, and to green, and to so on and so on.

This should be possible, there are several functions abut clearing the colorset and creating colors etc etc.

Can be vers tricky though and might not gonna happen

You can just go to the avatar menu and select the button called "Color Set" and then start your server.

You're clearly not getting this.

You're clearly not getting this.
I think you're clearly not getting the difficulty behind making something like this that works reliably enough not to get instant failbin'd.

I never said this is easy or that it would work. I just said that green doesn't get the suggestion, and that this has been rejected before tons of times.

So, let me give an example, is it like when you change the custom colour, it's like looking like sepia and black and white?

The only way this would possibly happen is incredibly hacky and probably would be failbinned.
