Author Topic: Are people really allowed to take a persons belongings if they are trespassing?  (Read 2595 times)

America, that place where teens and cops tell each other to forget off.
He wasn't even a cop, he was just some campus security guard. And yes, you're hilarious because you can stereotype americans. Great job.

Generally you are allowed to confiscate someone's property if they're trespassing, especially if it's not allowed and it's clearly marked that it's not allowed. I'm pretty sure that if there isn't a sign/written rule somewhere that something is not allowed you can't just go and take it whenever you please, I could be wrong though. I DO know that if you want to fine someone yourself for trespassing/whatever you can, and if they refuse the fine you can call the cops/take them to court. So technically if that security guard wanted to fine those kids/have them arrested he could.

In Kentucky a trespasser can be shot if the owner has a "No Trespassing" sign.
Harsh isn't it?
And I believe that people should be able to get their stuff back/not even have it taken in the first place. Unless they a went onto that property just for the means of trespassing.
Your opinion is immediately void because you're a handicapped and attempted to commit burglary.
