Well, no. Right now it's a digital distribution platform for games, game tools, stuff related to games, so on and so forth. Basically steam is just games. Looks like Valve is looking to make steam a digital distribution platform for a whole lot more than just games.

Well, it would be neat to have certain apps available on the overlay.

Like calculator, notepad, etc. I know another overlay program had this. I forget what it was called.
