Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 7,200 RPM SATA 6

Total price comes out to $1680

I'm not asking for you guys to change anything for me, I'm just worried about compatibility. (I mean if you want to find parts that total the same that are better I will kiss u)

THX GENTS

I don't think the cpu cooler is that necessary, unless you're planning to OC the cpu. Which, now that I think about, isn't that bad of an idea because your gpu will probably be slightly bottlenecked by it.

I'm planning to overclock, but not push it to the edge

All these parts (except case, mouse, etc) are the same as I'm going to get wtf

that's because they're common mid-end parts

im confused

why did you post lol

yes OP all parts seem compatible

mid-end
This is very high end to me. I don't plan on spending more then 2k on computer...

they're mid-end parts. they're good, but definitely not high-end.

you don't have to spend more than 2k to have a relatively high-end* computer. get a 3770k with a 680 and 8GB RAM and you're fairly high-end for under 2k

*there are much more powerful parts but in the realm of reality this is approaching/meeting high-end standards

(all of this just so you know. not telling you they suck or anything, don't take it that way)

that's purty lovey.
I plan on spending a 2.5k$ budget next year on a new computer. This is including monitors/keyboard/speakers because i'm going to keep the current one i'm using right next to it.
I'm tempted to go for an eyefinity setup but i'm not sure if i should.

make sure you get a decent amount of vram (2GB+ is usually okay) on your GPU if you decide to do that

i was thinking about doing some crossfire stuff
maybe
possibly but not thinking right now because everything will be different by next year lol

I am currently using my new PC!  After 4-5 hours of assembling it and hitting roadblock after roadblock, the only issue that remains is that I don't have a DVI cable to hook my GPU to my monitor which means I have to use on-board card until I can make a store run tomorrow morning.  I'm really satisfied that everything is working so far, and my new Razer keyboard types like complete love

why didn't you use windows 7 ultimate? hasn't it got more features?

any who, that computer is way better than my one any day
