Excuse me? It does work if your Origin doesn't cause the "wrong version" stuff. I looked through that guide and nowhere did I have to do any of that. The Installer worked for me just fine after I changed the path the files go into. It's a simple fix and there is an alternative guide I found on Battlelog that says the Installer finally works. But only because EA pulled 1.61b together so late. So if your installation still says the above try restarting your Origin or downloading the client patch on EA's website.
