Quick item select with number keys

Just like the onActivate triggering when you press the paintcan button (e by default), maybe we can have  something like a quick select button for inventory slots when building is disabled? :)
I am very used to pressing my number keys to select a certain inventory slot and i would love to see this happening (add-on or official, i don't really mind).

Sorry for this horrible written suggestion, i will improve it later.

I recommend v2. It lets you switch between using numbers for bricks or for inventory instead of rebinding them all.

A very interesting way of handling this idea.
However, since they added the onActivate triggering when pressing the paintcan button when painting is disabled, something like that should happen to the brick inventory and inventory buttons as well i feel.

Like, if you press 0-9 (building enabled) you select the corresponding brick.
But when you press 0-9 when building is disabled it should select the corresponding item in your inventory.

But your way is a very interesting way as well, i shall use that for now.
