Author Topic: Road Bricks  (Read 1651 times)

I'd like to get into creating some road bricks, (nothing fancy - ramp-wise or anything yet)

If you guys could provide me with a save of certain types you've built ingame on 16x, 32, 48 or 64 baseplates, I'd be willing to look into turning them into actual roads.

All I require for each type is, turn, straight, T and +, and it can't be ramped in any way; the rest may be customized to your content.

must be baseplate height
Lame. Elevated sidewalk is so much better.

Most uninspiring. Once you have the flat version it is easy to ramp it. You can then make it water brick so you can build on the ramped surface. Collision can be done with a single collision box too.

lego stunt rally roads

cross section (as far as i know lego stunt rally provides no T roads, they can be made by simply cutting a part of the X):

large curve and boosts:

EDIT: boosts wouldn't do anything, but they would be straight road pieces with arrows where people can then place zones on top to speed up cars. these roads would be 48x studs width and length and 1x stud high like the normal roads

I'm looking for blockland saves of roads people have already built.

whats the point of that then? why would you need normal roads that could be made into bricks, no one ever reaches the brick limit these days...wouldn't it be better to make unique roads that cannot be replicated with bricks such as the default ones?

IcyGamma's Isarland has over 100 road bricks. My built roads have on average 100 bricks each. (Yes I calculated) They are built to have as few bricks as possible using currently available bricks. That totals to 10,000 bricks spent just on the roads. You can add a few hundred more if you want them elevated. I'd rather spend those 9,900 bricks somewhere else.

Because I can recreate the road in blender with ease, lower poly; by visual copy.
