Author Topic: Mod database  (Read 1428 times)

We should, in case of another event such as the closing of BJWayMods, somebody (maybe me), should make a website containing every mod for Blockland Retail, updated daily, and well organized.

Some organising or category system for the Add-Ons forum would be nice...

I agree, the Add-Ons Board should have child boards for Weapons, Tools, Vehicles, etc.

My idea was that the mods were actually on the same website, so there are no missing file problems.

Yeah, but that idea was ignored.  Lol, j/k.  I was replying to Space Guy.

Well, I saw a forum/site called "Blockland Village" and although it was for 0002 and was clearly dead, I think a similiar idea would work.

Should have a simple layout and address like "www.blocklandmods.com" or something and should host all mods. Also allow features for bug reports, reviews, ratings and comments.

Users should be able to sort mods based on type (weapons, vehicles, bricks, ect) and file size, popularity/rating and more.

Would also be nice if mods made by the same person could be linked together sort of like a "see all of this user's mods".

I'm considering making this myself.

I'm considering making this myself.

You gonna pay for it? Cos we don't want any of that "freewebz" crap.

Of course it would be paid for. But I can't do anything other than pay for it.

I could do it if you wanted too, could start on it tonight and finish it by tomorrow. But I would have to find an easy webhosting site.

It could contain:

1. The name of the mod
2. Mod creator
2. Installion procedure
3. Description on how to use
4. Emails to the creator (Most webhosting give unlimited emails, so could give every modder an email address)
5. Pictures/videos if need
6. Rating

O.o lots of ideas, but cannon if you wanted to do it, then go for it, it's your idea.
