Oh, I know what this is.
When there's no sound for your ears to pick up, your brain creates it's own sound to fill the void. I have it, but I usually don't notice it.
No that's not it. There's always sound your brain is detecting, even if it's just the air or distant muffled noises you don't notice. If there truly was no sound, not only would your mind create sounds to fill the void like ringing and things like that, you would hallucinate and hear all sorts of odd noises. It would be torture
In one study I read about, someone constructed a room that was made in such a way and out of such materials so it absorbed all sound, it was literal complete silence inside. And they said that people who went inside had intense hallucinations, and they couldn't last beyond around forty minutes in there.
Besides, it can't be as bad as Misophonia. That's what I have, look it up. It's when small noises that would normally be completely fine and not bother someone, or maybe at least only be a little annoying, seem amplified and become excruciating to listen to. It's an extreme sensitivity to background noises. Chewing gum, or just about any food that makes sound, rocking, squeaking, even voices can trigger Misophonia. I sometimes literally have to go to the bathroom in tears to be alone because of how bad it is
