obviously it's not as hydrating as water, nobody suggested it was

soda is a net hydrating drink, that's my point. you will not get dehydrated from drinking it because there's enough water in it to make up for any loss the sugar/caffeine has

Hold on.

You absolutely just contradicted yourself.

If it's not suggested that it's as hydrating as water, which is almost perfectly hydrating.  Then how is it not dehydrating?

In theory, but we're assuming his kidneys function, so they should prevent him from being dehydrated by the salt and sugar in sprite. 90% of all soda is water anyway.

Also, I'm guessing alyx isn't eating much, so consuming strictly water would do him more harm than good, seeing as he can become over hydrated. Personally, i'm drinking applejuice and soup, but sprite will still keep you alive for a week.

Hold on.

..because there is a net absorption of water when you consume the beverage

it contributes more to your system then it removes. it's hydrating.

seriously are you handicapped?

I've been eating but not as much as I usually would though. I have about 1 meal less now.

Just because you don't get 100% water out of something doesn't mean you don't get hydrated.

What are you eating? Don't eat celery, it's not food. Eat apples or something.

I've been eating whatever I'm given. So far I've had 2 slices of pizza and some bacon. My mom had it ready for me for when I was ready to eat. When I got up to get it I was feeling like I was going to get sick in the distance of walking from the couch to the stove and back. (about 20 total feet)

Probably going to the doctor tomorrow. This is getting painful and its not showing many signs of giving up. My temperature keeps going from normal to 100+ and back, my body is aching with some stabbing pains, coughing and sneezing is getting bad again.

Never went to the doctor because I was sick. This will be the first time in 16 years.
