Author Topic: Player Animations  (Read 461 times)

Just something that I thought would be interesting to do. Basically if your player is idling he looks like he's shifting to stay comfortable, looking around, or doing something with his hands (or maybe even breathing...yeah I know they are plastic legos) Sort of like what characters do when you leave them holding still. Maybe a more pronounced walk and more player sounds, like gasping, grunting or even a noise the player makes while jumping. (besides the ever recognizable boing)

I'd love it if there was breathing, and then heavy breathing after a lot of activity.
However, it would mess up when you turned so idk how you would do this well.

Different walks is nice, idle animations, at least the way you described it, no. The figures don't have enough joints to do that kind of stuff. "Breathing", maybe.

Supporting this.
However, why would you use it?
Kind of like my Playertype request. It makes no sense and will be hard to make.
If someone were to make this, I'd be suprised.

How about for an idle animation, the blockhead just swings his hands around in a inverted arc. And maybe kicks the ground.

Personally I'd use it just for the sake of gameplay enhancement. Things like this make me feel more connected to my character.

Joint editing isn't that difficult to do, I'm sure a modified default player type can be made.

Well I would hate the movements to look unnatural, but kicking the ground sounds like it would be a nice addition.

A good example of what I'm interested in. Only except the spacing in between the animations are larger.

I meant where your blockhead just moves one foot forward a little like he's walking and it goes back in place.
