Author Topic: Advanced Ground options  (Read 1866 times)

The ground plane's hardcoded now, right?
If so, some options to rotate it, add new planes (like walls and ceilings), ground plane velocity, etc. would be nice; and probably easier to implement now.

Ground plane velocity?  You mean the moving ground we currently have?

It's not hardcoded, you can already do those things I think.

Many reasons that bricks would be bad here.

Many reasons why interiors would be bad here, mainly because they were deleted any Baddy refuses to go back to that stuff.

Also true
The two are not mutually exclusive

Not are they mutually inclusive, but we must follow what Badass says, else risk being banned for messing with his game.

I don't understand what you mean. Bricks are kind of the best way to make walls and ceilings, especially since interiors and terrains were removed. Which it seems like adding walls and ceilings to the ground options would basically be adding terrain.

The GroundPlane is NOT terrain.

Yes, but does the ground actually move you and vehicles?

Both false.

>Bricks aren't infinite. The GroundPlane is.

>Again, ground planes are not terrain.

Theoretically you could rotate it with settransform(); but what do I know

Rotating would be interesting, but if you're rotating it, then near the spawn wouldn't be too bad, but really far away from the spawn could be quite an eyesore, and possibly pose a threat of epilepsy under the right conditions.
