Every school in my town was on lockdown today...

Seriously what is this "get in the corner" bullstuff lockdown that they do over there, that has to be the worst idea I've ever heard.
I mean how is that any safer than just sitting at your desks, if anything it would be a stuffload easier to mow you all down.

Very recently every school in my district was locked down due to two people, a man and a woman, seen with rifles (supposedly hunting) near one of the upper elementary schools.

Except my middle school and the other upper elementary school in our district didn't lock down because :

• Our schools were in a different township (our school district runs through two towns)
• My middle school's roof caught a bit on fire due to construction and welding up there, so we evacuated.
