Honestly, Windows.
It's the best kind for gaming if you want to.
Mac is not only just bad for gaming but it's graphics, ram, ect. Can't even be changed.
Plus comes with a really crappy graphics card.
Yes it can you dolt. Don't post if you don't know what you are talking about.

I'm talking Macbook.

urrrrrrragh computer=/=os

the reason macs wouldn't be good for gaming is because of compatibility, not hardware

I'm talking Macbook.

That's still a lie, I upgraded my RAM not to long ago.

Yes this.

I use Linux and Windows regularly, but I haven't really tried Mac OSX.  I'm planning on getting a MacBook Pro sometime though.  I don't understand the Apple hate in this thread, MacBook Pros are probably the only really good laptops out there.  What it lacks in power, it makes up for in design.

Windows 8 is what made my comp faster, from my perspective.
Actually seems faster than OSX or Windows 7.

What it lacks in power, it makes up for in design.
you can't make up for a lack of power with design imo

obviously it doesn't matter if your computer is some kind of ridiculously overpowered hunk of processing godstuffs when you can't use the goshdang thing

it really depends on what you're using a computer for i guess

Yeah. For example, I see a lot of movie/song makers using a Macintosh for Final Cut Pro, Garageband, etc.

I'm talking about how it doesn't have a geforce 699 gtxxxxxTREME edition 420 gameZ, but has less powerful graphics and a more mid range processor.  Of course there's a point where it's definitely not worth buying if it can't run anything, but similarly, there's a point where there's no point in buying a laptop because it's cheap plastic, but has gaming abilities.

Macs are not for gaming, but for things like programming, I would definitely get one (And with thunderbolt support, maybe gaming could become more viable with GPU enclosures).

If windows 7 wasn't so slow I would say windows but it has to be mac/linux for me.

why is cheap plastic relevant lol

i mean as long as the case isn't, like, melting or genuinely being an issue

also that is HARDWARE not OS asdf

I have used more than enough makes in my time to say that Mac OS X does not take full usage of the actual Mac.
This is my results/how i do the tests:
1) Take the time is takes to run a script on Mac
2) install bootcamp
3) do same test
4) compare

4/5 times the windows side was faster.
This was on 2 new macbooks, 1 old macbook, 3 new iMacs.
