Oh my, you've just validated my entire argument
"It's just we [see spam computer threads] all the time and we get annoyed by it."
Well played, but I believe this argument is definitively over
Hi it's me. I'm just going to address this again because I think it's needed.
I've been watching you sillies. And though I've read it over and over I still not have found an excuse for acting like a complete forget. Nor have I found any justification for it from the proceeding posts. I see it as useless. And me telling you to piss off is me focusing on you and giving attention to an active post of the thread. As for this thread, OP has had every right to post this outside the "megathread". The reason your post that started the entire argument is useless as stuff is because Megathread subject exclusiveness is not an actively enforced requirement of the forum, Nor do I think it ever will be. (excluding the agreement between users to keep ponies in the pony thread).
Megathreads exist because they keep a lot of people in the same place. I barely check offtopic ever, unless there's a thread I'm watching. I always check the computer megathread, though, because that's a thread where I know I can give advice and help out, as well as present some of my own problems.
Common reason people do not post in Megathreads is because it's easy for them to get skipped, and often missed. Oh, you're there quite often given advice the best you can? That's nice, but I don't see how people have to rely on you solely for technical help. I can seek out a hobo and ask him whatever the forget I want or throw my questions at the general public.
You entered into this thread to tell OP to go into the 'goddamn megathread'. Then you proceeded to argue with another user about it. Much later in the thread you
somewhat actually said something useful.
Personally in these situations I would go to enter into a megathread for advice at a higher risk of being ignored first before I make my own topic. Not everyone does this. But regardless, If there was really any loving problem with these threads people would be banned over it and Megathread's keeping specific content within it's walls would be enforced. What you think betters the forum by posting like that is actually as useless as a festering stuff on the sidewalk. There is no justification for it.
Basically, your post holds no major influence and is a waste of digital letters.
ONTOPIC:
It says my card is Intel HD graphics family. is that compatible with the PCI / e slot?
Isn't a Graphics family generally an integrated piece? Because I had something similar at one point and I didn't have slots.
