So you really think that the two sentence OP couldn't have possibly fit into a megathread dedicated to computers. He's not the only one, there are at least 10 similar topics posted every week in this board. Topics that the megathread literally do nothing but talk about

The computer megathread gets offtopic often. It's also pretty rude to just yell at someone "post your stuff somewhere else" rather than actually HELP the person. It contributes nothing.

A lot of things are rude to post, but that doesn't usually stop anyone (see example in last post). So... give that argument a rest.
Megathreads exist because they keep a lot of people in the same place. I barely check offtopic ever, unless there's a thread I'm watching. I always check the computer megathread, though, because that's a thread where I know I can give advice and help out, as well as present some of my own problems.

Posting one topic about a question isn't much, but when you see the Off-Topic board get spammed weekly with "Got a new computer" and "Is my computer good?" or "My new mouse just came in!!" topics, it gets annoying and then you question why there's even a megathread for computer help/issues/etc. I mean seriously, at least post it in the megathread first. If nobody responds after a bit, make a topic. Not sure why you guys are mad a Trey.

Is Intel still good for processors? I've got an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU.

It seems to work pretty well.
