Author Topic: What's the point of blocking Youtube videos on mobile devices?  (Read 3183 times)

Hmm yeah, that's another thing. They have to reduce advertisements for mobile devices connecting through a browser since they don't want to have slowness on their site blamed on the advertisements. That makes it less profitable, or at least to make enough money to make up for it. So they want you to use their YouTube app, which is optimized for themselves, and therefore they have an excuse to advertise to you since it can be more efficient.

well.

that's quite pathetic.

It is because Ad revenue is not as good
Mobile devices generate much less money per view than on a desktop, since they can generally smish in more advertisements onto the screen and such.
The mobile device blocker is for snobby people who want to make sure they maximize their income on youtube
Of course I have adblock, and have completly forgotten the fact youtube videos used to have ads.

Because Apple is a bitch that smells like a dirty touchscreen that all your friends have used.
You're incredibly stupid. A lot of uploaders turn off embedding/mobile viewing in their videos for some reason.

Embedding also causes less revenue.
