Author Topic: Is there an app for android that says when someone texts me if my earphones...  (Read 732 times)

are in? Like, if I have my headphones on and Bob texts me it will pause my music
say "Bob has texted you" and resume it. Or something like that?
If so, it would SAVE MY ASS.
Anyone know of any?

Android will by default lower the volume/pause your music and play the text sound.

Usually what I do is set my phone to vibrate and then listen to music. You'll still get the notifications without music being interrupted.

I'm actually not sure if that's what you wanted to be happening or if you want what Port said to be happening.

if you want, you can record a custom notification sound for it, since
Android will by default lower the volume/pause your music and play the text sound.

I'm positive that Android, by default, will quickly pause your music and play your notification sound and vibrate and etc., then resume and fade in your music.

If you're on silent/vibrate mode, then it will not pause your music.

but i want to know who is texting me :((

Just create a custom notification.

Oh, you mean like it reads out the names?  Idk about that, you could do like everyone's suggesting and create custom notifications for contacts.

It's very nice. :)

Get Tasker, you can automate stuff with it. You could make a task that when your headphones are in and you get a text, it plays a certain sound. If you have a samsung phone, there is a default voice app that will announce your calls and texts n stuff
