So I thought a friend list would be kinda cool

Like you look at your friend list and it tells if your friends are online (friends could be added by entering ID via gui) That search bar (since most friend lists wouldn't be very big) could also be the ID entry bar. The window would  also tell what server your friends are on.
This image is just a little photoshop job of the macro saver.

I kinda would rather use steam. That way I could play more than blockland with them.

Can steam do that? And it's not like it's a seperate program. Just a gui so that when your friends are on you can join right to the server they are on. Plus none of my friend's computers can run any steam games (Just wow :/) and currently until I update mine neither can I.

Actually, this is a good idea. And yes, you can join your friends on STEAM, but Blockland isn't on steam, and not many people who have STEAM(or most likely GMod 10) play Blockland. 'Cept me. :)

Not sure why I said game. >.>

loltypo
Actually, this sounds very RTB 2.0ish.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were including this.

Steam can't be used to join servers in non-Steam games.

yes, i think this should be a good idea though

Steam can't be used to join servers in non-Steam games.
Thats why xFire was invented.

But Xfire also doesn't support blockland, so in this case, Steam > Xfire.

It can be forced supported.

It can be forced supported.
it still won't allow you to join others servers, It just notifies others what you're playing, which Steam can do as well.

But it tells you what game., but yeah pretty much steam.

Requires
1. each "friend" to download
2. someone who has their own server and can miraculously pick up on this stuff
3. would require server runner to have for communication I believe
