Author Topic: Geometry Homework Help Needed  (Read 950 times)

I have two questions on what to do for these questions.  Its dealing with tangents to circles and angles in a circumscribed polygon (i think). I wouldnt need your help but my teacher just gives us the worksheet and tells us to do it. The first picture is for the perimeter of the polygon and the second is for the angles (obviously showed in picture). So if any of you know or think you know what to do these problems please discuss.

stuff I knew all this a semester ago

I learned that freshman year and forgot all of it by the time the summer was over.

The Nal base of knowlage cannot solve this problem at this time. Please come back later.

When I read this the first time I thought it said "Cimcumcised Polygon". I laughed maniacally for 3 minutes straight. A typical tuesday night.

9)

Sin A = 21.2/21.7 (I can barely see it because it's blurry)
A = Sin-1(21.2/21.7)
A = 77.7 degrees

Sin A = opp/hyp
Sin 77.7 = a/21.7
21.7 Sin 77.7 = a
21.2 = a

Perimeter = 21.7+21.2+21.2
= 64.1

Like that? Might have messed up the numbers because it's too blurry.

The answer is C.

The answer is always C.

remember that two tangents are congruent if they meet the same point outside the circle.
that's how you get the perimeter for #9 in the first image
should be the same for others probably

edit: also remember that the opposite angles in a quadrilateral in a circle are supplementary (i think)
or congruent. just see how it works out.
