Either sack the cat, trap it under a basket or cage, or punt it in the chest.

Or catch it, beat the stuff out of it and throw it at the ground so it runs away. Aim for the head, there's not much internal organs and they're protected.

Be aware that the cat has claws that are fairly terrible for the size they are, and that it will use them in self defense

One, it's not a pellet. It's a bb.
I know they don't peirce because they richochete off and it makes a noise upon hitting something else.
On top of that Its not like 2 pumps will do anything unless it's point blank

Please don't use the term "bb gun" for airsoft gun. Removes any confusion.

Also, only resort to the airsoft gun if water doesn't work. Water should be your go to solution for now.
