it's a mod
and are you seriously implying that the players and their hacks determine the realism of a game?
You mean they don't? I'm pretty sure you can't even argue that.
You can't get immersed into a game with people hacking and glitching. Not to mention how loving buggy it is. I know it's a mod, I'm not saying it isn't fun... but it hardly meets the criteria of a Realistic zombie simulation considering you all have military weapons and fight each other. It's more about TDM/DM than it is about survival. Survival in that game becomes more of a nuisance than that of a core feature.

Not to mention Arma is an outside based game, so most interior buildings are empty/non enterable, which is another core feature that a good realistic zombie simulator would need.

yes, they don't. that is ridiculous. I really don't even know how to argue against it but I doubt you can argue your point either so whatever

and if you wanna get technical, the deathmatching is the fault of the players too. maybe the developers could promote zombie-killing and teamwork more by adding more zombies or something IDK but still it's up to the players what they do
I entirely agree about that last thing tho

but.. I just did.

The fact is the devs don't, and will not.
I wouldn't blame the players for that.. Have you played DayZ? Shooting on sight is a necessity because everyone's scared to die and lose their stuff. The game should take the responsibility if it doesn't have anything to help the matter. They've nerfed pistols and what not but all that did was make the game harder for survivors not bandits.

you mean the immersion thing? that doesn't say anything about the game though. that would be like hating the game blockland, or minecraft, or whatever, just because of the people who play it, which is completely irrelevant

why is that? certainly not because the players keep killing each other, that would make absolutely no sense at all

hm. I don't know what to say about that. why would they nerf the pistols? that doesn't make a lot of sense to me

Zombi U 2 if it ever comes out.

you cant request a specific type of game then bitch when its not free.

the best stuff is pay...

Not always true.  Though in this case it easily is.

Yeah, the M1911 used to do 4500 damage. Now it does 1300. Used to 1/2 shot zombies, but that's what made it worth grabbing.

It was beautiful, Revolvers and M1911s stopped hoards of zombies with interchangable ammo.
Y U NERF ROCKET, Y U NERF?

I cant think of many zombie games, maybe Dead Rising?

There is no such thing as a realistic zombie game FYI.
They are all unrealistic.  No exceptions.

Not a hoard per say, but they managed to kill what was necessary with a very limited amount of ammo. (Being that you'd probably carry about 21-42 shots worth.)
If I recall correctly, it was an Arma 2 nerf that affected DayZ as well.. It wasn't limited to pistols either. Just about all guns received a nerf.
SMG's and 9mm Handguns did about 2-3k damage instead of 899.
Shotguns went from 6k to 4.5k.
And most rifles like the Ak74 went down a thousand or so in damage. (Excluding most american weapons like the M4's and M16's)

So it wasn't Rocket's doing, nor did most of it make logical sense.

I'm pretty sure that weapon nerf was because of dayZ since most of these changes barely affect Arma 2 at all.

hypothetically realistic
