Author Topic: How Can I Have A Non-Laggy Multimap Server?  (Read 377 times)

Recently, I decided to re-host my Hunger Games Server. If you don't know about it, it's the only (as far as I know) Hunger Games server to feature multiple maps that I, the host, can change after every game using VCE functions and relays. Each individual map has at the absolute least 6,400 bricks, which, along with 6 or more (since it's still in progress) other 6,400 bricks, plus bricks for the trees and god-awful looking spawn areas that I didn't make, it results to having over 131,000 bricks, which is a lot for most players. In addition to a mass of bricks, the events can result in brief (at least for me) periods of lag, such as when I respawn items or backpacks. I want to be able to keep all of the different maps (there are currently 7, but I plan on having 12), but also not make it laggy for players with computers or connections that aren't as good. Are there any good solutions to this? Thank you in advance.

all them laggin is client sided?

Yup, under most circumstances, I'm the one of the only people not suffering from some sort of extreme lag. It really ruins the gameplay and makes the game revolve more around not lagging rather than being stealthy and knowing the terrain.
