Author Topic: Different Player Animations - DSQ Tweaker?  (Read 925 times)

Remember DSQ Tweaker? Eksi used it in his video, going to the store (in Blockland)
DSQ Tweaker lets you modify .dsq files (Torque Animation Files) maybe we should tweak the animations a little with it, and release it as a add-on! I personally think that the default animations are too simple.

Holy stuff, I just edited one of the animations.
I'm doing more.

OMG FORGOT ABOUT DIS VIDEO

First time I said it I was like "LOL WHAT DAFUQ"
/support

Git er dun!

There could probably be way to package a .cs file and a .dsq so that the .cs file tells the the .dsq to be activated when a certain button is pressed, or something.

I want the .dsq to be changed itself

Anyways, I want to make not the entire body rotate when looking up/down, just the head, but I cant seem to do that with DSQ tweaker.
Uuggggh.

Make some simple talking animations, perhaps some emotes: angry, sad, happy, walking/running animation.
If it were up to me, Id redo them all..

yeah the blockhead could look a little bit more adventurous when he lops around; arms swinging (general feel for direction on where to go) that sort of stuff would be nice.

idle animations are possible too, which would be just as nice to see, perhaps a stretching of arms or a bit of bouncing around if the player isnt active

I tried to edit the root animation to add an idle animation, but I can only edit existing keyframes, the root animation has no keyframes :(

DSQ Tweaker was a bit of a nuisance to say the least. I'll be impressed if you make anything really useful.

Whenever I open a .dsq file, I can only change the rotation of body parts which move in the animation, (I can't raise the arms in the falling animation because they don't move at all by default)
How did you cause the player's head to go crazy like in your video with DSQ Tweaker?

I think I used the undo animation or something. There might have been one animation that allowed more to be changed for unclear reasons.

Oh, I know. I changed the undo animation but somehow set it to loop, so I would undo something so my head would shake and then I would also walk.
