Author Topic: Sonic Adventure 2 - PC Slowdowns?  (Read 4852 times)

When I play Sonic Adventure 2 through steam, the menus and everything but the game run at great fps, but when I load up City Escape it acts as though Sonic is running through molasses, or just got a stomach cramp and just feels like walking or some stuff like that.

System stuff:

Can someone help me with this? I've tried googling it and don't understand anything they are talking about or its about another game/topic in general.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Quadro series gpu is not meant for gaming and that could be your problem right there.

It shouldn't be too much of a problem, the game has graphics from 2001 and I can load Counter-Strike Source maxed out.

Your GPU is not for gaming, it's for basic multi-monitor for businesses.  Sega probably didn't optimize the game at all and won't run well without a decent GPU.

it should be able to run an 11 year old game but the gpu is a bit weak

you have to spend more than $40 on a graphics card or else it wont be any good

im currently using a 9600 gso with less than 400mb ram and the only problems i have with it is timing out on loading online games like dota 2
cant max out graphics with it though

I have an AMD Radeon card that can run blockland on at least medium shaders and still run great, but my stepfather wont even bother putting it in, he just keeps ignoring me when i ask or saying he'll do it later when he never does.

your graphics card right now is a developer card, the card that you have is usually meant for developing games or something like that, they usually run poorly, so i highly doubt SA2 would be able to run on that. i highly doubt sa2 would run good on that.
