Author Topic: Randomized sound pitch.  (Read 1199 times)

A mod that randomizes the pitch of any sound played, kinda like in Minecraft.

This probably isn't possible.

This probably isn't possible.

maybe try changing the timescale of the sound itself? maybe change the client's timescale for the one millisecond that's needed to start the sound itself and the rest of the sound will be a different pitch and speed

This probably isn't possible.
i hate it when people say this

"oh eveything's impossible with this engine!"
*shaders and shadows implemented*
"oh well uhh everything except shaders and shadows are impossible!"

This isn't obviously available because if it was I would've let my roleplay guns let them do their own work.
If this was made, it would be nice. :v

it isn't though
torque simply isn't capable of that the old iteration blockland uses as a basis

it is impossible in the sense of making it as an add-on
It requires engine modification because the current torque engine does not support this

Shadows and shaders where said to be impossible because the engine didn't support it before the modifications where made

well he has good reason to say it.

well, why cant you at least try? do a hacky way?

no because that will make all the sounds change pitch

You would need an individual sound for every pitch.

"Hack": change timescale right before and after playing the sound.
