Author Topic: Sky box reflection bricks.  (Read 1103 times)

No I don't mean everything reflecting. Just the skybox.
Is this possible? I know texture-less objects do.

I remember an old glitch where when an item was textured incorrectly it would show the distorted skybox through it..

Does that prove this possible?

Since bricks aren't DTS shapes like items, that's pretty fractured reasoning to think it's possible. Unlike with items, a textureless spot on a BLB brick will simply be the paint colour.

So if a brick uses a DTS it is possible?

If a brick uses DTS it's not a brick, it's just a shape.
That is, bricks don't use DTS's, that's just not how it works.

I actually worded that sentence wrong..

Well atleast we know it's possible.

They don't reflect the skybox though, they just display the skybox through them (entirely transparent).

sounds like transparent vehicles showing the skybox through bricks

How about making the 'underground box' a reflection of the skybox and just making everything invisible seen through a brick? Sort of like just not rendering the face of a brick if another one is next to it, but not only bricks that are next to it.

They do reflect the skybox but the reflection is not correct and makes no sense to me.

Do what JVS does: a brick that, when placed, de-renders/de-collisions itself and creates a static shape
