Should I get Prototype 1 or 2?

So i'm probably gonna go to Gamestop tomorrow, and I was wondering; Should I get Prototype 1 or 2?

I watched some gameplay videos of Prototype and Prototype 2, and they were both pretty cool, but now I can't choose between 1 or 2

I really like the ambience in games, so that would be a point for Prototype 2

However, Alex Mercer seemed badass, so a point for Prototype 1

But Prototype 2 had better graphics and lighting, so a point for Prototype 2

But then again, Prototype 1 would probably explain more about the virus or w/e it is a lot more better than Prototype 2, so a point for Prototype 1

So then it becomes a tie, which one should I get and why?

from what i remember about prototype 2, it was laggy, poorly made, unoptimized, etc., however this was at launch i literally have not heard of it since it's miserable launch.  i have no idea what it's like right now.

prototype 1 was hella fun though.  good if it's on sale for cheap, not worth more than $20 tops though.

Eh, from the PS3 (which I have) gameplay, there weren't many bugs, it looked goodly-made, but then again what you're talking about was at launch so I guess it's a lot more different

alright, i'll keep it in mind, I heard once you shapeshift into someone in Prototype 1, you could blame somebody else to be the shapeshifter or something like that

yup, the move is called "Patsy" iirc.

you disguise yourself as a military personnel, target someone and activate it and everyone just shoots like everything they have at them lol.

that's kinda funny because I read a story on Friday about the twilight zone and these people who blame others for being "alien shapeshifters" or something and everybody formed mobs against the accused ones

iirc the second game had a more personal story because it involved your daughter or something?
while the first one was just "gotta find out who did this to me"
kinda like fallout 3 vs new vegas
