when i was in elementary school, everytime there was a lockdown we had to hide under our desks.

At my Elementary School, there was a Chase bank right across the street that literally got robbed about 5 times when I was attending it. And its not a bad neighborhood either.

I know I go to school in Queens and a few minutes prior to this I heard NYPD emergency vehicle sirens (about 10-40 cars) heading over on the LIE toward Nassau County.

There was a home robbery and a shooting at an apartment near my house and one high school was locked down for the whole day, but the rest of the schools, even the ones CLOSER to the robbery, remained open.
