Author Topic: im confused at the ending of half life 2 ep 2  (Read 653 times)

ok so i just finished all the half lifes (besides the half life 1 dlc's but w/e)
can someone explain what happened at the end of episode 2? so i get it, they launch their magical rocket which closes down their communication portal
but why does alyx lead you to the helicopter? to where does she want to fly? i dont get it

to that arctic area where borealis is i think

Maybe we'll find out in episode 3/hl3.
Unless what happened made a change of plans.

i think to stop the combine from getting it first or something i forgot

But why?

The Borealis is a ship built by Aperture that can jump between dimensions. It also has some cool stuff on it that will aid the rebels or somethin and if the combines get it everyone is forgeted

The ending has a cliffhanger. The original plan for the series was to have a new episode every 3 months.

Well that never happened....

doctor mossman is in the borealis or near there or whatever

so alyx and gordon has to go to the helicoptor to find her

Half Life 2 Episode Two revealed a connection between Half Life and Portal

Half Life 3 will reveal a connection between Half Life and Team Fortress

Valve should have just made spino-off games to keep the Half-Life crowd buisy. Such as Opposing Force 2, Blue Shift 2, and Decay 2

Weren't those by Gearbox?

I think they would have made them by now if they wanted to, so they either don't, or Valve has plans to tie them into Half Life 3, so they can't (yet)

I recall Gabe Newell possibly bringing the character back. Plus Valve has the rights to those games.
