The last party I went to I got pretty much forced into by my brother and he was all "Not to many people are gonna be drinking, just gonna be listenin to good music and talking". We get there and people are getting smashed off their asses and they had dubstep music blasting throughout the house. So I sit down and talk to a couple people I recognize, just try to be involved but not drink and this one dude kept yelling at me saying I was killing his and everyone elses buzz  because I wasn't getting wasted with him. I just told him actually you're the only one here getting upset about it and i'm sorry if that bothers you.

By the end of the party everyone, including my brother who promised not to get drunk, was wasted and incapable to drive (yet still trying to.) Was pretty boring honestly, dunno what was so great about that party specifically.

Everyone at the party was really chill. They didn't ever ask me to drink or smoke or anything. They asked if I had, but thats it, and they were totally cool with me not doing either. I think me and like, 4 other people were the only seniors. Everyone else was a junior or lower.

I'm not saying that you have to drink and stuff, but if you go there just to socialize you are going to have a stuffty time because everyone you were going to talk to is smashed and you feel awkward and everyone else feels awkward for you.

I didn't have much of a choice, my brother wouldn't stop calling me and trying to get me to come with him. I also didn't expect a bunch of people to be smashed, I deal with that enough at home.

this isn't the 50s where we actually host exspensive home events for friends just to sit around talking. that's just weird. that stuff is done every day normally.
